Minis
Mini football is played with 7 or 8 players in each side, and players ranging from 6 to 12 years of age. Age categories follow the academic year, so children who are 6 on 31st Aug 2008 would form part of the Under 7 team for the 2008-09 season.
Mini football is played on smaller pitches playing 10 minutes each way. Fixtures are played on Saturday morning, and 3 fixtures will be played one after the other, so players will have a maximum of an hour playing time, with frequent rests at half time and between matches.
Children move to the 11-a-side game in their Under 12 season.

Thornhill Football Festival - Sunday 7th September 2008 - GOL CENTRE
A big thank you to everyone involved in organising this event, with Particular thanks to Steve Knight and Phil "Fish" Jones. This was extremely well organised and well run, and was a massive success despite the problems we've had with the weather and the need to move the event at the last minute. 
Moving the event to the Gol Centre in Leckwith was inspired (albeit a bit of a gamble at the time), and it shows that this may be worth considering as a location for next year's festival.
Thanks too to the Gol Centre for accommodating us at such short notice and to the businesses supporting the event, DE Photos, Real Radio, Cardiff City, and the people supplying the catering. Also to the sponsors David Lloyd, Paul Williams, Applied Auto, Hair 4 U, Gloss and HSBC.
